Photos show top of kiln where large cracks are developing after five firings.
There is also a 1/4 inch gap when firing to cone 10 that opens up between the lid and the top of kiln. I did not take photos of this during the firing, but I put bright light inside kiln to show where the gap is (it is about 1/8 inch when the kilin is not hot).
Also, have photos of inside kiln (which looks fine), showing no cracks on the underside (inside) of kiln. – steve
