Woke up this morning out out side there was the season’s first snow in the distance.

Beyond the sun on the close hills, up in the Rattlesnake wilderness, there is snow. September snow.

Closser, in my back yard, the larches are starting to turn yellow, their needles will soon be golden, then gone, and we will have six months of contimplative time.
