Steve,

I love these photos of you and they endear me that much more to who you were/are and really who I knew you to be without too many words exchanged between us. I, too, had a studio for a year at the Brunswick - a photo studio with Cynthia Kingston. Fond, well, the fondest memories of the place exist in my mind for years now. Thanks for posting these photos and your comments.

great stuff. are you taking the picture with a flash and just a little bit longer of a shutter speed? i've neve really went out to take photos of a night event before and i was in different about whether to leave the shutter open longer or using flash and tried a bit a both but wan't courageous to do what you did. Great stuff though - now I know that next time I should just test my limits.

Rushed home b/c was with the husband and dog who were inpatient so didn't stay for the part at Caras but looks amazing from what i can gather with your photos. Last night was the perfect night for the event. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Steve, would you like to make an MCAT video of your Day of the Dead photos? I imagine a 3 minute montage with some music track. MCAT would make the video just putting the photos in order (unless you had some other idea) and it would run on the channel in between longer shows. Just a thought, great pictures! joel

Steve Saroff, These are great photos that recall my couple years in Butte working for NCAT. We met through George and I remember him showing me the first Redbook article...and being so very jealous because I wanted to be published too. Instead, I kept writing energy efficiency information. Fortunately, I had my time in Butte, in mountains, fishing, walking and going solo. I only experienced Butte for a couple years, and NCAT transferred me to egads Memphis. I ran away screaming a year later to the Oregon coast and another couple decades of exploration. Life is good. Thanks for sharing the OxO memories! I work with some of Bob's good friends and I will share your page. - Linda White
